Pokhara Technical School-Introduction

Pokhara Technical School (PTS) was established in 1996 AD by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in Pokhara, Kaski. The aim of its establishment was to produce trained and skilled human resources for Nepal's fast-growing tourism market. With more than 29 years of experience and a dedicated team of staff, PTS is now moving towards the vision of a "Center of Excellence" in the tourism and hospitality sector. It is well equipped with the required facilities to provide technical education and vocational training in hospitality and automobile education.

PTS has been offering three-year Diploma in Hotel Management (DHM) and Diploma in Automobile Engineering (DAE) programs since 2016 and 2021 respectively. These are pioneering programs of CTEVT in Gandaki Province, Nepal. Furthermore, PTS has been offering an 18-month pre-diploma in Hotel Management program to ensure a smooth transition to the DHM program. Similarly, the school offers Level 1, Level 2, and other tailor-made training programs in the hospitality sector.

As a tourism and hospitality school, it has its own restaurant and lodge to provide work-based training to students and trainees during their learning period. Since its establishment, PTS has been providing quality education and training in the hospitality sector. This is evident from its more than 11,500 happy and professional graduates serving both at home and abroad.
